At the height of the pandemic, Huawei partnered with Kenya, Senegal and South Africa to implement its DigiSchool project. In each country, Huawei partnered with NGOs or with the countrys Ministry of Education to improve child literacy and provide devices and connectivity infrastructure to schools, teachers and learners.

Now, the UNESCOHuawei Technology-Enabled Open Schools for All Project is being implemented (20202023) in Egypt, Ethiopia and Ghana. The aim is to build technology- enabled, crisis-resilient school systems that will connect school-based and home-based learning to ensure continuity and quality of learning under normal and crisis situations. Huawei has already supported the three countries in building school connectivity and empowering teachers to use technology and create digital learning content.
