Following the success of the inaugural meeting of experts on the Learning Sciences, which led to the establishment of the international community of practice of the Global Alliance on the Science

The International Policy Forum will be organised and hosted by UNESCO’s Section of Education Policy in collaboration with the Chair in Comparative Education at The University of Hong Kong. 

The Global Alliance on the Science of Learning for Education was inaugurated at a meeting of experts on the Learning Sciences held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 25 to 26 October 2023.

In several parts of the world, the language of teaching in schools is different from the language spoken at home by the learners.
